Ashdale Care Home home has been run as a family business since 1988, originally by Amir and Shamim Verjee and more recently by the Wilson family, who are actively involved in the business, and work alongside the Matron/Manager and other staff to uphold the friendly, warm environment and exceptional level of care that has and will continue to be the staple of this home.
Ashdale Care Home is situated close to Mansfield Town centre in a quiet cul-de-sac. The main road is the A60 going from Worksop to Nottingham and is on a main bus route. The town centre is within walking distance of the Home. Car parking facility is available in front of the home.
The property was built in the early 1900’s and was a private residence for the Evinson family, who owned a garage on Chesterfield Road for many years. It was then sold on in 1983 to be converted to a nursing home for the elderly and was called “The Park Nursing Home”. It changed hands once again and was bought by a group who added the first extension in 1987.
It was then bought in 1988 by Amir and Shahim Verjee, both pharmacists, and renamed to “Ashdale Care Home”. It has been gradually extended and refurbished over the years, and in 2013 was bought by the Wilson family, who strive to maintain the warm, friendly atmosphere that has been fostered over the years.
